Lyashenko played for the teams, Yaroslavl Torpedo 1997-1998, 1998-1999, Michigan K-Wings 1999-2000, Dallas Stars 1999-2000, 2001-2002, Utah Grizzlies 2000-2001, 2001-2002, New York Rangers 2001-2002, 2002-2003, Hartford Wolf Pack 2001-2002, 2002-2003. In 1997 he was selected in round 2, #52 overall in the NHL Entry Draft. His GP was 139. Roaman Lyashenko died on July 5, 2003, in his hotel room in Istanbul, Turkey, at the age of 24, from an apparent suicide.
