Funeral services for Ivy D. Malone, Sr., who died Monday morning at his home in the Midway Community in Yazoo County, were held at Midway Baptist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Mr. Malone, 81, was a farmer, and a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He was a native of Holmes County.
Officiating minister was the Reverend Joel Brown with Southern Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Julia Burrell Malone; one son, Ewell Malone of Benton; three daughters, Mrs. Christine Jones of Gulfport, and Mrs. Beatrice Porter and Mrs. Mildred Ables of Benton one sister, Mrs. Willie Harthcock of Tchula; one brother; T. B. Malone of Lexington; 32 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Ketchum, Dan Malone, Harris Ables, Dalton Porter, Jerry Malone, and Tommy Jones.
