DENTON--Everette Hill Myers, 81, of Taylor St. in Thomasville, was killed in a Thursday auto wreck on Bringle Ferry Rd., 5 miles west of Denton. Myers was killed in a head-on collision which happened when a dump truck reportedly crossed the center line on the road, according to the Highway Patrol reports. Mr. Myers was born in Davidson County, January 14, 1894, a son of Lee and Sarah Black Myers. He had lived all of his life in Thomasville and was a retired pattern maker at plant C at Thomasville Furniture Industries. He was a veteran of WW1, having served in the US Army. He attened Emanuel United Church of Christ. He married Miss Fannie Clinard 29th June 1927. She survives of the home. Surviving in addition to his wife are one son, Doyle C. Myers of Ohio; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Leach of Minnesota, Mrs. Ida Rothrock and Mrs. Bessie Rothrock, both of Thomasville; four brothers, Willis L. Myers, Ernest T. Myers, Wilson G. Myers and Lloyd B. Myers of Thomasville.
