Violet M. Warren age 88, of Mabton, WA passed away Sunday, October 26, 2008 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born April 1, 1920 in Alliance, Nebraska to Hartvig and Maude May Olsen. During World War II Vi worked as a lathe machinist in the shipyards in Portland, OR. She later owned Eastgate Market for 3 years then moved to White Swan. She resided in Bickleton from 1955 until 1959 then moved to Mabton. Vi also worked for Twin City Foods in Prosser and Teagarden in Grandview. On April 26, 1975 she married Robert A. Warren in Grandview, WA and they together made their home in Mabton. Vi enjoyed traveling, bowling, camping and sewing. She was a member of the Calvary Lutheran Church of Sunnyside, WA and PWA (Professional Women's Association). She is survived by her husband, Bob A. Warren of Mabton, WA; Richard Silbaugh and wife, Yvonne of Palmyra, TN; Claudia Silbaugh of Grandview, WA; Theresa Murillo of Moses Lake, WA; Kathy Rodriguez of Sunnyside, WA; Robert Warren Jr. of Vancouver, WA and Rebecca Warren of Selah, WA, 18 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, son, John W. Still and one brother, Kenneth Olsen. Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, October 29, 2008 from 11:00 A.M. until 6:00 P.M. and Thursday, October 30, 2008 from 8:30 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 30, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Smith Funeral Home, Sunnyside, WA with burial to follow at the Mabton Cemetery, Mabton, WA.
