SERVICES TOMORROW FOR WM. L. BLISS, 73, VETERAN NEWSMAN
Services for William Lane Bliss, 73, 253 W. Marquette rd., veteran newspaper man, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow in the chapel at 316 W. 63d st. Mr. Bliss, who was for many years labor editor of the Herald-Examiner, died Monday of a heart attack in his home. He is survived by his widow, Marie, two sons, William and George, a reporter for THE TRIBUNE, and three daughters, Ruth, Mrs. Dorothy Alpers, and Mrs. Georgia Hayes. Mr. Bliss, who scooped the nation on the San Francisco earthquake in 1906, worked on the Denver Post, the Kansas City Post, the Milwaukee Sentinel, THE CHICAGO TRIBUNE, and the Interocean. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery.
