Statesboro - Mrs. Verna Hagan Wells, 87, died Nov. 14 at Statesboro Nursing Home under the care of Ogeechee Area Hospice. She was a native of Bulloch county. She was a homemaker and a member of Leefield Baptist Church.
Survivors: a daughter, Betty Nesmith of Claxton; three sons, Winton and Randy Wells, both of Leefield, and Gary R. Wells of Brooklet; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation: 6-9 today at Hodges Turner Funeral Home in Statesboro.
Funeral: 3 p.m. Monday at Hodges-Turner Funeral Home, burial will follow in New Hope United Methodist Church Cemetery.
