After a long illness, Charles L, Amsden, well known Fontana resident, died last night at his home at 450 East Arrow boulevard, Fontana.
He was 79 years old and had suffered asthma for 31 years. He was born in Wisconsin and had resided in Fontana about 10 years.
Surviving are his widow; a son, Charles Amsden, Iowa; and two brothers, Frank, Iowa, and Howard, Minnesota. Five grandchildren also survive.
Funeral arrangements are being made by the Simpson's funeral home, Rialto.

He then had one son and one daughter with Sarah Jane Martin Amsden. He died on June 22, 1936, in Fontana, California, at the age of 79, and was buried in Rialto, California.
