Aline Smith Burden was born on Dec. 5, 1904, in Denison. She was a longtime resident of Tarrant County and a member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
In 1926, she earned a BS degree from Austin College and her masters in business administration from North Texas State University in Denton in 1948. The former teacher taught at R.L. Paschal High School and English at Texas Christian University. She retired from teaching in May of 1964.
Mrs. Burden was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Charles C. Burden, who died in 1980.
Survivors: God Child, Betty Bogart of Fort Worth; nephew, Joe McCarty of Gordonville; great-nephew, Richard Walker of Tulsa, Okla.; and great-niece, Lisa Walker Foster of Midland.
