Parents: Samuel Hall married Matilda Hunter, 8 Apr 1830 in Franklin County, Ohio. Matilda died in 1833 and Samuel married 2nd, Mary B. Shephard. By 1840 they had moved to Adams County, Indiana. Almira and her brother, John, remained with their grandparents, John and Rebecca Hunter, and their extended family in West Jefferson, Madison, Ohio.
