ROBINSON, Grant A. - Age 93, of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be 1PM Saturday from Miles Martin Funeral Home, Pastor Bob Burkey officiating. Burial in Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday 6-9PM and Friday from 1-4PM and 6-9PM. Memorials may be directed to his church, Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church or the charity of one's choice. Envelopes are available at the funeral home. He was born February 26, 1906 in Gladwin, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Shelton S. and Mary Clara (Lanphear) Robinson. Grant and Marjorie Hillier Stevens were united in marriage on September 8, 1928, she preceded him in death February of 1985. He then married Ingel Ritter Casey in June, 1988. He was a member of Mt. Morris First United Methodist Church, and was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Army Postal Services. He retired from US Post Office in Flint. Grant owned, operated and retired from his service station, the Robinson Mobile Service Station in Mt. Morris. Surviving are: his wife, Ingel; 4 sisters, Beatrice Malia of Mt. Morris; Doris Akridge of Mt. Morris, Maxine and husband William Wheeler of Mt. Morris, Margaret and husband Robert Purdy of Mt. Morris, sister-in-law, Marian Potteer of Flint; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; 1st wife, Marjorie; and 2 brothers, Jess Robinson and Laurence Robinson.
