Archdale-Benson Lloyd Lassiter, 83, passed Jan. 1st, 2006, at High Point Regional Hospital. Funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Jan. 4th in the chapel of the Cumby Family Funeral Service in Archdale; Dr. Rodney Otwell officiating. Interment will follow in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Born September 8th, 1922 in Richmond County, a son to the late William Haywood and Maude Gaddy Lassiter. On December 16th, 1942 he married the former Annie Lee Jones who survives of the home. In addition to his parents, Preceded in death by three brothers, Lyndon, Haywood and William Lassiter; and two sisters, Ruth McRae and Louise McBride. Surviving is a daughter, Cheryl Poole and husband Larry of Archdale; two grandchildren, Kristi Scott and husband John of Trinity and Todd Poole and wife Cindy of Cocoa Beach Fla.; five great grandchildren, Jackson Scott, John Christian Scott, Tori Poole, Taylor Poole and Ashton Poole; and two sisters, Sue Draughn of High Point and Blanchette Mitchell and husband Walter of High Point.-Cumby
