OTTUMWA - Paul David Gladden, 55, of 209 E. Court St., Ottumwa, died at 2:50 pm Sept. 9, 2011, at Hospice House in Ottumwa.

He was born Feb. 7, 1956, in Ottumwa to William Peacock and Claudine Joy Carruthers Gladden Sr. He married Cherrie Reed on Jan. 15, 1988. A graduate of Marshalltown High School and Indian Hills Community College, he was a Journeyman Electrician.

Surviving are his wife; a daughter, September Dawn Vaquera of Texas; two grandsons, Addrien Troy and Gabriel Vincent Vaquera; a siter, Rita(Chico)Gonzales of Michigan; a stepsister, Roberta Randall of Ottumwa; three brothers, Robert Lewis Jr. of Mediapolis, William P. Gladden Jr. and Russell Albert(Gladden)Harwick, both of Ottumwa; aunts and uncles, Mary Short, Richard Tennison, Jack(Carol)Sallee and Sheryl Sallee, all of Ottumwa.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 3 pm Friday at Reece funeral Home; Chaplain Tim Dawson officiating. Cremation will follow service. Visitation will be one hour prior to service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
