Mrs, Otillia (Tillie) Roegner, 89, formerly of New Holstein and a resident of Lexington, Ky, the past six months, died at her home there on Saturday.
The former Otillia Langenfeld, she was born in Marytown (Fond du Lac County) on Jan. 29, 1896, a daughter of the late John and Theresa Brost Langenfeld.
She attended school in Marytown.
On Sept. 22, 1920, she and Bernard Roegner were married in Marytown. They observed their 60th wedding anniversary in 1980. He died March 10, 1985.
Mrs Roegner was currently a member of Mary Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Lexington, and was formerly a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Parish, New Holstein, its Christian Mothers Society, and the New Holstein Garden Club.
Surviving are one son, Dr. Francis Roegner of Lakeland, Fl; two daughters, Mrs Robert (Dolores) Kraus of Wilmore, KY, and Mrs Rosemary Sullivan of St. Paul, Minn; 16 grandchildren; three brothers, Adolph and Edward Langenfeld, both of New Holstein, and the Rev Nicholas Langenfeld, New York City, and one sister, Mrs Rose Feldner of Milwaukee. She was preceded in death by one daughter (Agnes), one grandson, three sisters (Barb, Alvina, Stella), and and two brothers (Michael and Paul).
Funeral Mass will be at 7pm Wednesday at Holy Rosary Church, New Holstein, with the Rev Ralph Hermsen and Rev Nicholas Langenfeld celebrants. Burial will be at the parish cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Bernard and Otillia Roegner Scholarship Fund of New Holstein High School.
