Emma Dobbin

Miss Emma Dobbin, 24 years old and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Dobbin of Ledgerwood, died at Grace Hospital, Morganton, last Saturday morning. The young lady, who had been in ill health for more than a month was taken to the hospital for treatment the day before death came.

Funeral services were conducted on Sunday from the Episcopal Church at Todd by Bishop R. E. Gribbin and interment was in the neighborhood cemetery.

Surviving besides her parents are two brothers, Bynum and Edgar Dobbin and two sisters, Mrs. Beulah Kent of CHepherdstown, west Virginia and Mrs. Moore of Newland.

Deceased was well known in Watauga county. She was the niece of Messrs. W. S. Miller pf Todd and Marvin S. Miller, a cousin of Mr. W. F Miller and an aunt, Mrs. Lillian Hopkins, also resides in Boone. Miss Dobbin was an active member of the Episcopal church and had taught for several terms in the school of this section. She was popular, talented and the many friends of the family throughout the county will be grieved because of her untimely death.
