BLURTON

Louis T. "Jack" Blurton, 71, of Ramsey died 1:19 p.m. Sunday in Decatur Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Miller Funeral Home, Ramsey, where friends may call after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, north of St. Elmo.

Mr. Blurton was born in Fayette County, a son of Marvin and Mary Stubblefield Blurton.

He was a retired operating engineer. He was an active member of American Riflemen's Association, a member of the Okaw Valley Muzzle Loaders Club Board of Trustees. He served on the Ramsey School Board.

He married Mary M. Tish, Dec. 26, 1929, in Vandalia.

Surviving are his wife; son, Delbert of Brownstown; daughters, Mrs. Clifford (Lois) Elliott of Danville; Jean Blurton and Mrs. Harry (Katherine) Monk, both of Des Plaines; Erma Blurton of Chicago; brothers, John of St. Elmo; Everett of Beecher City; Roy of Edinburg, Tex.; eight grandchildren.

One son and one brother preceded him in death.
