Elsie Phillips, 81, of Everson, WA/Scowlitz, BC, went peacefully surrounded by her loving family February 17, 2011.

Elsie was a loving sister, mother, grandmother, auntie, friend, and a mentor. She was a woman that represented Love, Laughter, Patience, Integrity, and Giving. Her greatest passion was the love for her Family.

Elsie "Grammy" will be greatly missed by her entire family.

Elsie is survived by her two loving brothers, Marvin and Roy Peters; daughter, Nadeen Jimmy (Marty); 5 grandchildren, Joal (Ruben), Marcia, Marty Jr. (Amber), Michael, and Christian; four great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Heaven, Lydia, and Vanessa; and numerous nieces, nephews, and grandnieces & nephews she loved dearly.

The family would like to thank the Nooksack Elders group for giving her a place to go each day she so enjoyed her time with all her friends.

A special thank you to the staff at St. Joseph's Hospital S. 4th floor and to The Hospice House for their compassion and support.

Prayer Services will be Mon., Feb. 21, at 7:00 PM. Funeral Services will be Tues., Feb. 22, at 10:00 AM. Both services will be at the Nooksack Community Building.
