Belvia Gene "B.G." Ainsworth

Devoted husband, cherished father and treasured grandfather, Belvia Gene Ainsworth, "BG", left this world to be by the side of his wife Phyllis Jean, and his Heavenly Father on March 31, 2011. BG was born on August 19, 1923 in Tira, Texas, to William Thomas and Ellen Cummings Ainsworth. An enthusiatic fisherman and outdoorsman, BG could be seen most summers on Lake Eufaula, teaching his grandchildren how to fish, dirve the boat and helping Phyllis teach them how to water ski or showing them how well he could trick ski. BG build a life for his family in Oklahoma City after serving in WWII as a Combat Medic. He was an Equipment Specialist at Tinker AFB for 29 years. He was a devoted follower of Christ and a member of Southern Oaks Free Will Baptist Church. He joins in Heaven his wife of 69 years, Phyllis Jean. He will also reunite with his Grandsons, Barry and Brent Bright and his Great-Grandson, Jonathan Bright, as well as all of his 4 sisters and 5 brothers. He leaves behind: daughter, Linda Stephens and her husband Ron; son, Ronnie Ainsworth and his wife Carlene; daughter, Janice Menser and her husband Michael; Grandchildren: MaLynda Bright, Ron Ainsworth, Jr., Christi Landis, Justin Menser and Jennifer Williamson. He is also survived by many Great-Grandchildren. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation and thankfulness to the staff of the Veterans Center in Norman, Oklahoma. BG taught us many lessons in life that are invaluable: The strength we receive from belief in the Loard, the blessings we receive from our Family and the joy we receive from giving Love to others. While you leave us behind to reunite with Mom, we will smile through our tears knowing you are finally home. Funeral services will be held on Thusday, April 5, 2011, at 10:00 a.m., at Resthaven Funeral Home.
