Sgt. Linda Parker Gipson, 58, of Covington, passed away Saturday, June 27, 2010.
She is survived by her father, Leonard Parker Sr. of Covington; five sisters,
Countess Carter of Covington, Sheila Page of Covington, Trina Batiste of
Compton, Calif., Joann Mitchell of Compton and Pearl Howard of Richmond, Va.;
two brothers; Leonard Parker Jr. of Covington and Prince Albert Batiste of
Compton; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother a son and daughter.
Relatives and friends are invited to funeral services at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the
First Baptist Church, 123 W. 28th St., Covington. Visitation will be from 9-11
a.m. Interment will be at 9 a.m. Tuesday in the Biloxi National Cemetery, 400
