He worked in the oilfield as a heavy equipment operator, in pipeline work, and in water well drilling. He was a US Army veteran and affiliated with the First United Pentecostal Church. Eldon was an avid fisherman, whose favorite hobbies were fishing, fishing, and fishing.
Those left to cherish his memory include his father: William Wiley Aust of Odessa; brother: Darry Aust and wife Kathy of Saugus, CA; sisters: Barbara Ross and husband Gaylord of Arlington and Carolyn Johnston and husband Leon of Abilene.
He will be greatly missed as well by a multitude of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In addition to his mother: Ester Mae, his sister and brother-in-law: Delores and Keith Brewer, precede him in death.
Graveside services will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens officiated by Pastor Terry Pugh. Arrangements are entrusted to Acres West Funeral Chapel.
