Obituary

Jennie Pearl Nowland Kunz, 72, Montpelier, passed away early Tuesday morning in Bannock Memorial Hospital following an illness.

She was born January 28, 1906 in Dingle, the daughter of William Perry and Edith Bird Nowland.

On July 11, 1936, she married Alma LeRoy Kunz in Paris and this marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Kunz died May 22, 1969.

Mrs. Kunz was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had resided in Bear Lake County all her life.

Survivors include three sons, Earl Feinauer, Idaho Falls, Wendell Feinauer, Montpelier, Don Kunz, Pocatello, a daughter, Mrs. John (Shirley) Toomer, Cokeville, 16 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Arvilla Bird, and Mrs. Mona Sparks, both Dingle.

Funeral arrangements will be announced by Matthews Mortuary.

Funeral services for Jennie Pearl Nowland Kunz were held Friday, Oct. 20, under the direction of Matthews Mortuary.

Bishop Gary Lowder conducted the services in the Montpelier Stake Center. Flowers were under the direction of the Fifth Ward Relief Society.

The family prayer was given by John L. Toomer, and Lois Lee Hulme played prelude and postlude music.

A vocal solo, “Hold Thou My Hand,” was sung by Ruth Kay Andersen, accompanied by Lois Lee Hulme.

Lynn R. Feinauer gave the invocation, followed by a life sketch presented by Brent R. Bunn. A talk was give by Ferris M. Kunz.

“Angel Serenade,” a violin solo, was played by Sandra R. McArthur, accompanied by Jean Alleman.

A vocal selection by Julie K. Wright, Debra K. Keetch and Sally Ann Kunz followed remarks by Gary Lowder. The closing prayer was given by Delmain C. Kunz.

The grave in Montpelier Cemetery was dedicated by Earl Feinauer. Pallbearers included Jeffrey W. Feinauer, Donald K. Toomer, John L. Toomer, Michael E. Feinauer, Lynn R. Feinauer, and Dan C. Keetch.

Honorary pallbearers were L. Delbert Kunz, Joe L. Kunz, Reuben Walter, Robert Walter, Robert Preston, Ray Ivan Kunz, Jack Perkins, and Evan J. Kunz.
