RETIRED RANCHER DIES AFTER ILLNESS

Alma LeRoy Kunz, 66, retired Alton rancher, died at 7:45 a.m. Tuesday of a heart attack in the Bear Lake Memorial Hospital. He was born March 6, 1902 at Montpelier, a son of Albert and Anna Hoffman Kunz.

Mr. Kunz attended public schools at Alton and until 1962 operated a ranch there with a brother, Delbert Kunz until retiring in 1962. He was a member of the LDS Church. He served two terms as governor of LOOM No. 858 and held several other offices. He was also a member of Western States Angus Association.

Mr. Kunz and Jennie Pearl Nowland Feinauer were married July 11, 1936 at Paris.

Besides his widow he is survived by one daughter and three sons, Mrs. John (Shirley) Toomer of Cokeville, Don Kunz of Dingle, Earl Feinauer of Idaho Falls and Wendall Feinauer of Montpelier, 16 grandchildren, one sister and three brothers, Mrs. Martha Kunz of Montpelier, Lorenzo Kunz and Delbert Kunz, both of Montpelier, and Joseph Kunz of Magna, Utah.

Services were at 1 p.m. today (Thursday) in the Montpelier LDS Third-Fifth ward chapel.

RITES HELD FOR MONTPELIER MAN

Bishop Lynn Nate conducted funeral services for Alma LeRoy Kunz on May 23 in the LDS Third-Fifth ward chapel. Family prayer was offered by Joseph L. Kunz.

Mrs. Philip Hulme played organ prelude and postlude music and the invocation was by Terrel Robinson; life sketch, Bishop Nate; vocal solo, “Goodbye for Just a Little While,” Mrs. Walter Hunzeker, accompanied by Mrs. J. F. Spidell; speaker, Ferris M. Kun; vocal solo, “In the Garden”, Mrs. Waldo Andersen, speaker, Earl Feinauer; remarks, Bishop Nate; vocal trio, “Home on the Range”, Max Haddock, Philip Hulme and Eugene J. Grimes; benediction by Elgin S. Bridges.

Acting pallbearers were L. Delbert Kunz, Lyman Bunn, Eugene E. Sparks, Robert L. Preston, R. Ivan Kunz and Reed Bird. The honorary pallbearers were Lorenzo F. Kunz, Evan J. Kunz, Lee Lloyd, Rodney G. Bills, Art C. Robinson, Milo Dayton, Erwin Pearson, Henry Rowland, Arthur C. Rowland, William G. Wuthrick and Clifford Sizemore.

Matthews Mortuary was in charge with interment in the Montpelier cemetery, where the grave was dedicated by Bartell Johnson.
