Lifelong Resident Of County Is Dead

Mrs. Elizabeth McConnell, 78, Succumbs After Stroke.
Mrs. Elizabeth McConnell, 78 died early Monday morning in the family residence on rural route 5 after a long illness. Death resulted from pneumonia and complications following a second stroke of apoplexy.
Elizabeth J. Good, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel Good, was born in Macon county on May 15, 1854. She was married in 1875 to Samuel C. McConnell, who died in October, 1920. Mrs. McConnell was a member of the Oreana Christian church.
Mrs. McConnell is survived by two children, Mrs. Pearl Acom and L. I. McConnell, both of Decatur; four grandchildren, Mrs. Ethel Dugan, Mrs. Chester Ferrill, Mrs Delma(Velma) Betzer and Orville McConnell all of Decatur; and three great grandchildren. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. W. R. Adams. Two children preceded her in death.
The body was removed to the Monson funeral home, where friends may call. Funeral services will be conducted in the Monson chapel Wednesday at 2 p.m. by Rev. Roby Orahood of Tuscola. Burial will be in Fairlawn cemetery.
