Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Wilberto and Anita (Jorge) Acevedo.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
Survivors include his fiancée, Deborah Lacerte; his son, Tommy Acevedo, Jr.; four brothers, Wilbert, Ricky, David, and Danny; and nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Friday at 9 AM at Pine Grove Cemetery.
