HUGH BUSSIERE
Funeral services for Hugh Bussiere, who died suddenly Monday in Shaftsbury, will be held Thursday at 11 am at Mahar & Son Funeral Home. The Rev. H. Glenn Payne, First Baptist Church pastor, will officiate.
Entombment will be in Park Lawn Chapel. Burial will be in Center Shaftsbury in the family lot in the spring.
Mr. Bussiere was born in Stafford Springs, Conn., on Dec 22, 1910, a son of Henry and Eliza (Martineau) Bussiere. He was educated in Adams and Pittsfield, Mass. schools and served in Italy in World War II. After the war, he moved to Center Shaftsbury and later to Bennington.
He had been employed by the Gulf Oil Co. for several years and for the past six years by Winslow Plumbing and Heating Supply Co. He married the former Doris Leazer in September 1933 in Adams, Mass. She died in 1960.
He leaves six brothers, Howard of Dalton, Mass., Louis of West Oxford, Mass., Frank of Northfield, Vt., Walcott of Glastenbury, Conn., Lawrence of Andover, Mass., and Douglas of Conic, N.H.; four sisters, Mrs. Leona Rieschle of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Evelyn Baker of Adams, Mass., Mrs. Gertrude Butler of Bennington and Mrs. Gretchen Baker of Pasadena, Calif.; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 9 when the family will be in attendance.
