HOBBS, RAY JEAN HIGHTOWER, went home to her Lord on March 12, 2003, Proud to be a fifth generation Texan, she was born on April 1, 1925, in Patricia, Texas, graduated from Garden City High School having spent her childhood there. Upon retirement, she and her husband moved from Rule, Texas to Dallas and then Denton, where she resided until her death.

A member of the First United Methodist Church of Rule, she is survived by her husband Weldon Russell Hobbs, with whom she celebrated her 59th anniversary on March 6, her son Barry and wife Gwen and grandchildren, Dawson, Heather, Graham and Matthew her sister Janet Middleton of Big Spring, husband Harry and children Johnny and Candace, great nieces and nephew as well as many friends.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 15 at the Valley View Cemetery, Valley View, Texas. The family ask that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to: First Methodist Church, Rule, Texas 75487.
