MARTINEZ -- Rosendo Martinez, a resident of Rio Rancho, went home to his Lord and Savior on October 17, 2003. Rosendo was born on January 13, 1951 in Albuquerque, NM. Rosendo was a forklift operator and currently employed by Ben E. Keith. He was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather, and his passion was his children and grandchildren. Rosendo was known to all as a workaholic, almost never missing a day of work. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching television and his favorite was wrestling. He also enjoyed trying his luck at the casinos. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Rosendo was preceded in death by his brother, Escundino Martinez. He is survived by his beloved wife, Maggie; his cherished children, Rosendo Jr. and Liz Romero, Chris Martinez and wife, Erica, Renee Bullock and husband Victor, Jennifer Martinez and Ronnie Tafuro; sisters, Trinni Leyba and husband, Greg, Geri Otero and husband, Pete, Adelina Guiterrez and husband, Sammy, Theresa Mills and husband, Don, Pearline Sierra and husband, Jose, Gloria Martinez; brother, Eddie Martinez; seven precious granddaughters; brother-in-law, Charlie and wife, Grace Sanchez; sister-in-law, Bonnie Griego and husband Ruben; and many other relatives, loved ones, and a host of friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated this morning at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Rio Rancho. Interment will follow at Vista Verde Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Terry Barker, Charlie Sanchez, Dan Barela, Ruben Griego, Ranch Otero and Fred Otero.
