MARTINEZ -- Isaac Martinez, 76, a resident of Rio Rancho for the past 13 years, passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2000. Isaac was born on October 30, 1923, the son of Alejandro and Maria Pacheco Martinez in Penasco, New Mexico. He had worked as a machinist for a pump manufacturing company before retiring. Isaac is survived by his wife, Herlinda Martinez of Rio Rancho; five children, Isaac Martinez of Norwalk, CA, Sylvia Montoya of Ponderosa, NM, Avelina Otero of La Puente, CA, Manuel Martinez of Rio Rancho, and Gloria Figueroa of Corona, CA; two brothers, George Martinez of Penasco, NM, Jimmy Martinez of Oklahoma; three sisters, Merlinda Pecheco of Penasco, NM, Helen Roybal of Penasco, NM and Lucia Martinez of Santa Fe; ten grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. The visitation for Isaac will be on Thursday, July 13, 2000, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Vista Verde Mortuary, Sara Rd., at Meadowlark Ln., in Rio Rancho. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 14, 2000, 10:30 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Rio Rancho with the interment to follow in Vista Verde Memorial Park. Arrangements by Vista Verde Mortuary, Rio Rancho.
