EUGENE CLAUSE
CARENCRO — Funeral services will be held at noon Friday, Sept. 15, 2000, at a Mass in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Eugene CLAUSE, 83, who died at 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, 2000, at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette.
Interment will be in Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. The Rev. Bill MELANCON, pastor of St. Peter Catholic Church, will officiate at the services.
A native of Carencro, Mr. CLAUSE was a resident of Opelousas for most of his life. He was a parishioner of
Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas.
Mr. Clause was a veteran of the military, having served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Nora (LAGRANGE) CLAUSE of Opelousas; one son, Kenneth CLAUSE and his wife, Elaine, of Lafayette; one daughter, Barbara CLAUSE of Opelousas; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by eight brothers, Stanley CLAUSE, Weston CLAUSE, Robert CLAUSE, Nicholas CLAUSE Jr., Lewellyn CLAUSE, Charles CLAUSE, Edwin CLAUSE and Alexander CLAUSE; and three sisters, Mrs. Elmer (Aline) E. STOKES, Elvidge CLAUSE and Mrs. Deus (Evalina) C. KILCHRIST.
A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today in the funeral home.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Friday until time of the services.
Melancon Funeral Home of Carencro is in charge of the arrangements.
