Jimmie Eugene Rolan was born on Gainer 's Ranch, outside of Brady,Tx.
Jimmie was the son of Nettie (Wilson) and Jim Rolan. He had 3 siblings, Myrtle, Raymon and Ernest. The family moved from Brady, Tx, to Rockdale, Tx, abt. 1930. Then, on to Houston, Texas, in 1939 and father out of Houston, to the Comm. of Spring Branch.THE HIGHLANDER NEWS

Jimmie Eugene Rolan

Jimmie Eugene Rolan, 80 years of age, died on March 15 at Seton Highland
Lakes Hospital in Burnet. A native of Brady, he was a son of James Buchanan
and Nettie Eugene Wilson Rolan, born on Sept. 28, 1929. Jimmie had served in
the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 37 years in
school districts in the Houston area as a mechanic. Jimmie has resided in
the Kingsland area since 1989, moving from Houston. He attended the First
Baptist Church in Marble Falls and loved working in his garden, yard and
orchard. Jimmie was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one
sister. Survivors include his his wife Florene (Flo) Rolan of Kingsland;
children, Paul Rolan and wife Patty, Debbie Brunelle and husband Barry,
Cindy Wilhite and husband Michael, Darlene Shelton and husband Larry, Janice
Vinyard and husband Willie, Jim Sanders and wife Rhonda; 12 grandchildren;
five great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
