Leona I Rizor, 84 of Sears, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at Spectrum Health-Reed City Campus. She was born in Orient Township, Osceola County on May 4, 1921 to Floyd and Pearl A (Shaw) Barnes.
On June 24, 1939 in Big Rapids she married Niles E Rizor. Mr. Rizor preceded her in death on May 26, 1995. She worked at Evart Products for 13 years (1958-1971) before retiring.
Surviving her are a daughter-Maxine L (Don) Rizor Maxwell of Sears; three sons-Theodore C (Carolyn) Rizor of Coral, Michigan, Roy R (Cynthia) Rizor of Lake, Michigan, and Niles William (Shirley) Rizor of Sears; 19 grand-children and 28 great-grandchildren; sister-Lula M Eschenwick of Arizona; two brothers-William E (Wanda) Barnes Arizona, and Charles F Barnes of Seas. Mrs. Barnes was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Niles in 1995; a sister Irma Burhans; two infant sisters and an infant brother.
Funeral services were held Friday, June 3, 2005 at Corey Funeral Home, Evart with Rev. Brian Bunch officiating. Interment was at Forest Hill Cemetery, Evart.
