Mrs. Alvina Sophia Roseman, 65, of R. 3, Plymouth, died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Rockv Knoll Sanatorium and Hospital after a short illness. She had been a patient there for the past two months.
A daughter of William and Emelia Rodewald, she was born Jan. 19, 1899, in Newton, and was baptized Jan. 28, 1899, and confirmed April 10, 1914, at Salem Reformed Church in Newton. She attended rural Newton schools and was married to George Roseman on Dec. 4, 1923, at Lanham, Neb. The couple lived there until 1941 when they moved to Newton.
In 1948, they moved to the campus at Lakeland College where she had been employed.
Survivors are one son, Wayne of Las Vegas, Nev.; three grandsons; two brothers, Emil Rodewald of Sheboygan, Louis of Manitowoc. Her husband died a week ago.
Mrs. Roseman was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman and the Women's Guild of the church.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel United Church of Christ in the Town of Herman. The Rev. Robert Opperman, pastor, will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
