Father Michael Fahy and Mother Bridget Thayne. Michael died three months before Catherine was born. She and her sister were raised in a convent. Her brother worked to pay the tuition so his sisters would be well cared for after their mother died. Catherine was a Catholic and Levi was a Baptist, so they contributed $1000 to each when the new churches were built in Bunkie. There is a stained glass window in the Catholic Church dedicated to Catherine.
