Lt. Col. Robert Cochran. Revolutionary war hero condemned to death by the NY Assembly. Col Cochran fought the Yorkers for Vermont Land Grants. Joining the Green Mountain Boys, he was with Ethan Allen at Ticonderoga and Seth Warmer at Crown Point. Later he commanded Continental forces in the Mohawk Valley Campaigns & undertook dangerous espionage duties in Canada for the American Cause. He died in 1812 and was buried in Fort Edward, New York within a few feet of where the remains of poor Jane MCcrea lay.
