Funeral service for Guy Leonard Koonce, 88, of Tuttle, was held Monday Oct 15, at the First Pentecostal Holiness church of Tuttle, with Rev Paul Koonce officiating, and Rev Randy Bryce assisting.
Guy Leonard Koonce was born 7/31/1902 at Nashville, Arkansas, and died Saturday, Oct 13, at Oklahoma City. He married Edith Melton 10/13/1923 at Cedar Point, Arkansas. She preceded him in death in 1987. Mr Koonce moved to Oklahoma in 1926. He had lived in Tuttle since 1930. He had worked as a heavy equipment operator. He was also preceded in death by 1 grandson, Donald Eugene Koonce.
Survivors include 5 sons, Cecil Koonce of Tuttle, Guy Koonce Jr of Norman, Leon Koonce of Norman, Bob Koonce of Moore, Gene Koonce of Newcastle, 1 sister, Georgia Barger of Chickasha, 14 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. Interment was in Fairview cemetery, Tuttle, under direction
of Sevier funeral home, Tuttle.
