Raymond L. Ambrose, 72, of Mountain Home, Ark., died at his home on July 4, 1995. He was born July 12, 1922, in Chicago, Ill. to Charles Frederick and Jean Grimm Ambrose. He was married to Zona Kathryn Dougan, who survives of the home.

Mr. Ambrose was a microbiologist for the U.S. Government and retired from the Food and Drug Administration. He was a graduate of Trinity University of San Antonio, Tex. He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Later Day Saints, the Disabled American Veterans, American Legion, VFW and the American Society of Microbiologists.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Ambrose is survived by a son, Charles Ambrose of Lockport, N.Y.; two daughters, Christine Asztalos of Williamsville, N.Y., and Cheri Edwards of Independence; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Graveside services were held at Oakland Cemetery in Olathe, Kan., under the direction of Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Mountain Home, Ark.
