Obituary Aug. 15, 1912 in the Journal Reporter; He moved to Decatur Co. with his parents in 1849. He served in the Civil War for 3 years. He married to Miss Hattie Daniels at Galesburg, Ill. They had four sons, James Ruben, of
Colorado; Enos C. of Leon; John R. of Van Wert; and Harry S., of South Dakota.
Their mother departed this life in 1877. He married Miss Sarah Butts of Leon, in 1879. They had 7 children, Mrs. John Hacker, of Van wert; Mrs. Don Akes of Leon; Mrs. Ora Fletcher, of Decatur City; Frank Garfield, of Dakota; Charles H. of Shenandoah; Mrs. Ray Ellis, of Leon, and Harlie T.

Reporter Oct 29, 1896 P.8 says that Calvin Bullards father was Reuben Bullard who lived in Decatur Iowa at that time. Calvin lived in Kellerton Iowa.
