S.B. Jones' Brother Dies Tuesday A.M.
Services for Joe T. Jones, 69, will be Thursday afternoon in the Capitol Hill Baptist church, Oklahoma City, and burial will be in Sunny Lane cemetery. The Masonic lodge will assist with graveside services. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Mr. Jones was a brother of S.B. Jones of Carnegie and of Mrs. Addie Driggers of Apache. He died early Tuesday in the Polyclinic hospital after being seriously ill three weeks.
Born in Montague, Texas, he came to Oklahoma more than 40 years ago and lived at Eldorado and Altus before locating in Oklahoma City. He was owner and operator of Joe Jones barber shop at 2604 S. Robinson.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Dixie Blanche Jones at the home; five sons; two brothers, S.B. Jones, Carnegie, and Luther Hubble, Artisia, New Mexico, and three sisters, Mrs. Ellen Carr, Rochester, Texas; Mrs. Driggers, Apache, and Mrs. Lee Hill, Davidson, also four grandchildren.
