Martha Morrison Passes Here Monday
Miss Martha Morrison, 84, a resident of Chouteau county for most of the past 40 years, died at the St. Clare hospital in Fort Benton Monday. She had been a hospital patient about four days, and death was due to infirmities of age.
Funeral services will be held from the Benton Funeral Home chapel at 2 p.m. this Thursday, with Rev. W. Lloyd Hanley of the local Christian church officiating. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery.
Miss Morrison was born at St. Charles, Illinois, Dec. 26, 1867, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Morrison. She moved to Colorado Springs, Colo., spending five or six years there, and came to Chouteau county in 1912. Miss Morrison homesteaded near Loma, and lived in that section until about eight years ago, when she moved to Fort Benton. Except for brief times in California, Miss Morrison had spent the past 40 years in Chouteau county. In Fort Benton she maintained her own home, and was active despite her advanced age.
Survivors include a niece, Mrs. C. R. Murray, and grandniece, Mrs. Harvey Fox, both of this city, as well as another grandniece, Mrs. Calvin Bowman, in Lewistown.

Parents: William Morrison and Emma Temdine
