FUNERAL SERVICES FOR HARLAN DAVIDSON

Funeral services for Harlan Davidson were held Monday, October 12, 1964 at the Halls Summit Methodist Church. Rev John S. Jones conducted the service. Casket bearers were Thomas Casey, T.V. Bennett, John Skillman, Henry Steele, Roger Skillman and Claude Skillman. Mrs. Don Jones, soloist accompanied on the organ by Mrs. W.D. Ryan, sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "Good Night Here But Good Morning up There." Interment was in Halls Summit cemetery.

Harlan Davidson was born, January 12, 1888, at Agricola, to Isaac an Mary Rumsey Davidson, the youngest of ten children. He passed away October 12, 1964, at the age of 76 years nine months.

He spent his life in Coffey county were he was engaged in farming and livestock raising in his active years. As a young man he worked for Star Grain and Lumber Co. for several years. He had been a member of Bean Grange over 25 years, and was active in other community activities.

On February 6, 1910, he was united in marriage to Vera Schermerhorn. No children were born to this union, but from 1930 their nephew, Estel Schermerhorn, lived in their home as a member of their family circle.

He is survived by his wife, Vera; Estel Schermerhorn; two brothers Harve of Liberal and Hyatt of Manhattan; also several nieces and nephews.

He will be missed by his many friends and relatives.
