She was born Jan. 25, 1900 in Richland County, daughter of George and Mary(Clark) Nichols. She was married to Jesse M. Skelton, and he preceded her in death on March 21, 1959. Mrs. Skelton was an active and faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Paul (Marcia) Jessup and Mrs. Edward (Betty) Taylor, both of Flora, Mrs. Ivan (Barbara) Lewis stationed in Spain, and Mrs. Vivian Earp of Olney; six sons, Robert E. and Donald, both of Claremont, Warren, Jack and Kenneth, all of Olney, and Richard of Olney Rt. 2; 29 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Mae Runyon, Mrs. Geneva Grubb, Mrs. Beulah Novak, Mrs. Margaret Fisk and Mrs. Georgia Hayes, all of Olney; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Vernon in 1968, a brother, Ed Nichols, and two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Wharf and Mrs. Edna Watson.
