DEATH SUMMONS ALBERT M. GRANT LAST THURSDAY

Had Been Resident Of This Community For Many Years

The final summons came last Thursday to Albert M. Grant, a resident of this community for many years, at the Akron Hospital after a brief illness, aged 85 years and four months.

Mr. Grant was born October 7, 1875, at Birdseye, Indiana. There he was united in marriage with Miss Florence M. Cummins on January 1, 1903. After coming to Akron they farmed south of town for a number of years until retiring in 1950 and coming here to live. Their union was blessed with one daughter, Fayette (Mrs. Arnold Brundeen).

He was preceded in death by his wife on October 22, 1961.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Arnold Brundeen, of Cherokee, Iowa; two brothers, Henry, of Medford, Ore., and Alonzo of Indianapolis, Ind.; a grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Church of Christ, Rev. Richard E. Brown officiating. Mrs. Hugh Swift was soloist and Mrs. Marvin Klemme was accompanist. Pallbearers were Emery Tucker, Oscar Mentzer, Charlie Simizer, Arthur Hasenbank, Roland Swanson and L. H. Boetger. Burial was in Riverside Cemetery.
