Funeral service for Mrs. Ruth Foster, 84, of Alexander City, will be Tuesday, August 30, 2011 a.m. at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Bro. John David Parker will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillview Memorial Park.

Mrs. Foster passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Chapman Healthcare Center. She was born on Jan. 26, 1927 in Jacksonville, Texas. She was a longtime member of Alexander City Church of Christ. Mrs. Foster worked as a bank teller in Texas and then worked as a seamstress for Russell Corporation.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years. John L. Foster of Alexander city, daughter, Kay Tapley (John) of Jackson's Gap; son, Ronnie Foster (Mary) of Opelika; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; special friend, Mary Wood.

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be given to Alexander City Church of Christ.

Radney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
