Son of Lawrence R. and Evie L. (Rash) DeMoss

Lawrence Allen DeMoss, 84 of Corsicana passed away October 13, 2017 at his residence. He was born September 20, 1933 in Eureka to Lawrence Richard DeMoss and Evie Rash DeMoss. He enjoyed fishing and was a athlete in his younger years. Lawrence was very active in church at Westside and loved it dearly there. He enjoyed singing in the choir and was a Sunday school teacher. He was employed with the Children State Home for 30 years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Evie DeMoss; son, Stan DeMoss; siblings, Bonnie Douglas, Damon DeMoss, Jack DeMoss and Buck DeMoss. He is survived by his wife, Doris DeMoss; children, Phillip W. DeMoss and Steven Lynn DeMoss; seven grandchildren, Sara Wilson, Eric DeMoss, Devin DeMoss, Justin DeMoss, Monica Milligan, Audra DeMoss, Daniel DeMoss and eighteen great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 14th from 6-8 pm at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home. Services will be  3:00 pm Sunday, October 15th at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home with Larry Talbert officiating. Burial will follow at Eureka Cemetery with Daniel DeMoss, Justin DeMoss, Eric DeMoss, Devin DeMoss, Phil Dickson and Audra DeMoss serving as pallbearers.
