Ella was survived by her son, Jose "Pancho" Trujillo (Viola); daughters, Patricia Garcia, Rosalie Baros, Amelia Martinez, and Lucy Whitchurch (Jim); sisters, Olojia Abeyta, Ramona Atencio, Magdalena Chavez and Bonnie Borrego; sister-in-law, Teresita Dickerson; 17 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Ella "Grandma Bingo" lived a complete and rewarding life having relocated to her home in Santa Fe from her upbringing in Canjilon. She was a devoted Catholic and member of the parish of the Cathedral of St. Francis de Asisi. She was an intelligent, hardworking business-woman taking on many occupations throughout her life. She was constantly "on-the-go" and stayed involved in the activities and gatherings of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by her entire family and friends.
Public visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 31, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. at St. Francis Cathedral Basilica in Santa Fe with a rosary to follow at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Cathedral Basilica in Santa Fe, interment to follow at Rosario Cemetery. Pallbearers are her grandsons, Lucas Trujillo and Ruben Salazar, Vincent Leal, Kenny Trujillo, Justin Gonzales and Brandon Montoya. Honorary pallbearers are her grandchildren Veronica, Carmella, Albert, Beverly, Joyce, Renee, Selena, Gabriella, Katrina, Denise, Annette, Rebecca, Maggie, Samantha, and Kelly.
