Hazel Marie (Penny) Ramsey, 75, of Dublin, went home to be with our Lord and Savior on Monday, August 29, 2011.

She was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and a retired beautician.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Noah and Cecil Akers Lawson, two children, Caroline and Richard Lee Ramsey, and two brothers, Bill and Clyde Lawson.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard Ramsey; four daughters, Teresa Gray and Tammy Ramsey, both of Dublin, Beth (Rick) Gordon, of Belspring, and Julie (Larry) Ferguson, of Kingsport, Tenn.; two brothers, Ronnie (Ellen) Lawson, of Wytheville, and David Lawson, of Portsmouth; three sisters, Judy (Kent) Vaughan, of Austinville, Vicky Lawson, of Cripple Creek, and Bonnie (Mike) Freeman, of Wytheville; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 1 p.m. at the Gospel Light Baptist Church in Christiansburg with Pastor Jerry Otey officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mullins Funeral Home in Radford. Another funeral service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2011 at 2 p.m. at the Roles Chapel Baptist Church in Forest Hills, W.Va., where the family will greet friends from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the Volunteer Seedline Publications, PO Box 3140, Blountville, TN 37617 or to the Shriners Hospital-Greenville, In Honor of Alyssa Ferguson, 950 West Faris Rd., Greenville, SC 29605.
