Mrs. Wincy Lee Knight Steen, 93 widow of the late, Floyd Odell Steen, of Lancaster, passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House. She was born February 27, 1918 in Pageland, a daughter of the late James and Edna Knight. Mrs. Steen was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy on Alpha Road and was retired from Lancaster Convalescent Center as a CNA. She was very active in her church and loved to sing and prepare meals for others. A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Steen will be held Thursday, September 1, 2011 at 3 pm at Lancaster Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Huey Mills officiating. Burial will be in the Lancaster Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by a son, James Floyd Steen, a daughter, Mary Marcene Steen, three grandchildren, seven brothers, Vester Knight, Lester Knight, Bud Knight, Bethel Knight, John Knight, Jettie Knight and Cletus Knight and four sisters, Lizzie Kirkley, Nellie Knight, Annie Mae Knight, and Kathleen Wright.
