Ms. Dorothy "Dottie" N. Grubb, 83, of Frederick, formerly of Poolesville, died Saturday, July 12 at Northampton Manor Health Care Facility in Frederick.
Born July 26, 1919, in Poolesville, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Bettie Padget Grubb.
Ms. Grubb was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Poolesville and a graduate of Poolesville High School.
Surviving are one brother, R. Lloyd Grubb and wife Thelma of Poolesville; two sisters, Betty Rudasill of Frederick and Ethel G. Shannon of Virginia; two nephews, Ricky Grubb and wife Lynn of Myersville and Dan Shannon and wife Nancy of Georgia; two nieces, Peggy Kinna and husband Larry of Frederick and Linda Roof and husband Phil of Port Republic; and many great-nieces and great-nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 16 at Hilton Funeral Home, 22111 Beallsville Road, Barnesville. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The Rev. Ken Fell of Memorial United Methodist Church, Poolesville, will officiate.
Interment will follow in Monocacy Cemetery, Beallsville.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Memorial United Methodist Church, 17821 Elgin Road, Poolesville, Md. 20837.
