My 3rd great-grandfather Nathaniel Baker was born in Baltimore, Baltimore Co, MD, on 5 Jan 1798. His parents were Manning and Rebecca Clare Baker.
He married Hetty Morris in Lawrence, IN, on 29 Jan 1826. Nathaniel died circa 1865 in Carter Co, MO. His body was interred in 1865 in Carter Co, MO. He is believed to have been buried in the Old Galbraith Farm Cemetery, Carter County Missouri. Located on County Road D; GPS Coordinates: Latitude: 37.07310, Longitude: -91.01170.

In the 1800 Federal Census of All Saints Parish, Calvert Co, MD he is probably the male age 2 listed in the household of Manning Baker.

In the 1810 Federal Census of Calvert Co, MD he is probably the male age 12 listed in the household of Manning Baker.

In the 1830 Federal Census of Wayne, MO, Nathaniel is listed as the head of household. Susannah Baker born in 1824 would have been 6 at the time but there is no listing. One free white female 15 - 20 is listed and must be Hetty Morris who may have been 26 at the time (she was 46 in the 1950 Census). Did Hetty lie about her age to the census taker? The next listing on the Census page is for Moses Morris which is Hetty's father. There is a listing of one Free White Female 10 - 15 which could be Susannah Baker, his granddaughter. Moses also appeared on the 1840 Federal Census of Ripley, MO.
