Born May 30, 1940, in Modena, Ill., to Harold and Beulah (Montooth) Newton, she married Bernard D. Dunn in Wyoming, Ill., on July 23, 1961. He survives.
Other survivors include three daughters, Dandy (John) Henderson of St. Cloud, Fla., Stephanie "RB" (Jeff) Uszacki of Arvada, Colo., and Jennifer (Joel) Rees of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren, Logan and Ian Henderson, Wesley and Eli Uszacki and Sammy and Gabby Rees; and two brothers, Clem (Judy) Newton of Bradford and Lynn Newton of Wyoming, Ill.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Page and Milton Newton; and one grandson, Benjamin Uszacki.
She graduated from Wyoming High School in 1958.
She was a full-time grandmother, writer for the Stark County News and a farmer.
She was a member of the Leet Memorial United Methodist Church in Bradford, Bradford Booster Club, Bradford Public Library Board, charter and founding member of Bradford Beta Sigma Phi, Stark County Home Extension, Bradford American Legion No. 445 Auxiliary, taught Sunday school and Bible school, and Helping Hands 4-H leader (knitting).
She loved photography, reading and traveling, and had four great dogs, Mike, Walter, Shady and Maggie, and one legendary cat, Spud.
