Esther was born to German emmigrant father Thomas Zimmerer and Midwestern mother Julia Ann Clark. The family moved to Deer Park Washington in early 1908 from their farm near Nardin, Oklahoma. There Esther Beatrice spent her girlhood and married Walter Scott Warner January 4,1912 at Coeur d'Alene,Kootenai County, Idaho. They homesteaded in Montana for several years, then returned to Deer Park. Walter and Esther later divorced; Esther never remarried. She raised their two surviving children alone, working as a houskeeper in Bremerton for the Brown family and later Ellensburg, Washington for George Donald. Mr. Donald moved his household to Seattle, Washington along with Esther and her children. There Esther obtained her nursing degree and worked at Shadle Sanitarium for many years until her retirement.
